in 1995, cable television broadcasted its first ever Korea Baseball Championship game: the Hanwha Eagles vs. LG Twins.  Korea Sports TV (한국스포츠TV, established on December 27, 1993), and 20 other channels were officially launched on March 1, 1995 as South Korea’s first ever cable television network.

Broadcasting rights for the cable sports channel?  200,000,000 KRW (approx. 200,000 USD) for three games a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays).

Korea Sports TV is now known as SBS Sports, which broadcasts regular season games every day when there is baseball.
